Do not buy shoes for toddlers every day

I bought school uniforms for my children and second graders. Although they are cute at first glance, they are so annoying to clean. My Kindergartener stepped in the mud the first week of school and that was the end of good white shoes. I have followed the cleaning recommendations on the Keds website and when that failed miserably I googled and tried 2 or 3 different suggestions none of which worked. The shoes still have a yellow cast. But what was even more disappointing was that after only a month of wear, the bottom of the shoe was lagging behind the shoe itself, on BOTH pairs of shoes! My kindergartener can be a bit rough with things so it wasn't that much of a surprise. But my second grader isn't one of those people who likes to misbehave. She would rather sit with friends and draw or sing. When her shoes started falling apart I was totally disappointed! I tried three times to seal the lower part with contact cement, but without success. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 mainly because I've seen them work for older kids or if they're only worn occasionally. In my opinion, they are NOT a good option for toddler casual shoes! Now I'm going to order the Keds School Days shoes because they're leather and hopefully easier to keep clean and I'm keeping my fingers crossed they don't fall apart. My son wears KSwiss Classic leather shoes and we had no problems with them.
