Review on 🌂 Houndstooth RainCaper: Perfect Women's Rain Poncho for Stylish Protection in All Weathers by David Strawn

This was the BEST poncho purchase I have ever made - I bought about 6 different styles and everything was like wearing an ugly plastic bag except for this one . Silky to the touch, the water really rolls off, it's amazing. And it packs up nice and compact for easy to put in your purse or pocket. Also has a nice bracelet function! However, to use it in windy or rainy weather, I recommend wearing a baseball cap under the hood. I always wear a baseball cap with rain gear because hoods never cover my face quite the way I like it, or in this case the hood falls off my head. There are no drawstrings to keep it on your head and given the price it's for a poncho which would be a nice feature. The other two main things that concern me are that if water gets stuck between the front layers when you put the poncho on and off, you'll get wet underneath. A little bit frustrating. Perhaps this could have been avoided with more buttons or zippers instead of overlapping fabric. I also found the neck button a little tight. Actually the buttons are a bit difficult to fasten, period, but what bothered me the most was the tightness in the neck area. I also just wish it was a little longer! I bought this to carry with me a portable rain cover that would protect me and anything I'm carrying (as opposed to a jacket which would just protect me but not necessarily a bag or backpack) and it has worked really well is working. I just want it to cover my chest a little more. I have a curvaceous figure so I know this can really affect the drape of the fabric on my body. I may buy a lined version for warmth in the future, but this works well for me when I don't want to get even hotter and want to protect my backpack or purse with me!
