This was my second set of these canisters. I like the range of sizes and the price. My last set arrived with the largest broken canister, which was odd because the inner and outer boxes were undamaged. I believe the canister box was discarded before being boxed in the factory (China) and they knew it but did it anyway. I sent it back and Revain sent a replacement set. These are thick glass canisters, but the lids are awful. They don't seal at all and slip out on their own. I needed a better solution for a tea bag jar so I cut off the plastic stopper and now it stays. It's still not airtight, but it works. I use other canisters for kitchen utensils and measuring spoons so I don't have to worry about lids.
