A few weeks ago I accidentally cracked an egg in my car. I thought I cleaned it well but a week after not driving I found the egg soaked through mate and it smelled TERRIBLE. I tried cleaning it with carpet cleaner and a metal sponge but it was still on the carpet. I ordered it, a bit skeptical but I'm so glad I did.
