This lapel pin comes in a cute box which is great for gift wrapping. The pin itself is bright and the shiny gold color looks great on dark fabrics. The engraving on the gold shield is detailed and beautiful. The crystal is shiny and no glue is visible behind mine. Black chains tend to twist and tangle, but I expected that. Straightening the limbs takes a few minutes after you attach the pin to the lapel. This is costume jewelry, so the tallow will eventually stain it. It's a safety pin, so it shouldn't make too much contact with the skin, and discoloration shouldn't be as much of a problem as it is with a ring or bracelet. both are comfortable and work well. The price seems a bit high to me. The pin is beautiful but clearly looks and feels like jewelry.
