I have ordered one of each size, one for me and one for a friend. Definitely true to size. I would highly recommend wearing it almost every day as my jeans tend to loosen up a bit as I continue to lose weight (#humblebrag). Does not show under shirts. The only downside is that it can slip off and bite your stomach when you sit down, but it's worth not lifting your jeans every 5 minutes. It's unattractive whoever you are. Also, you can pull too hard and hit yourself. Not that I know from experience.
