Description of Rugged Radios Carbon Fiber Style H41-CF Behind The Head Two Way Radio Headset with CC-MOT Coil Cord Cable for Motorola 2-Pin Radios

{Microphone} – The headset comes installed with a High Noise Dynamic Microphone – This mic is a Low Gain Microphone. We use a low gain microphone because it is designed to not transmit very extreme background noise. Correct Mic placement is critical to pick up your voice. This is for the best performance in extreme noise environments. {IMPORTANT Note} – In low noise environment, you may need to purchase a separate Electret Microphone - #M560-E. This mic will transmit at a higher volume level but may pick up background noise. {Headset Sound} – Carbon fiber designed cups installed with 24 Decibel NRR Hearing Protection and clear hear audio speakers. {Controls} – Easy access volume control knob on the ear cup for the precise sound setting and push to talk button to stay connected with your two-way communication. {Connections Ports} – 5-Pin Cable & 3.5mm Input Aux Port For Scanners.

Excellent quality and customer service

Works great. I start on the drag strip and the noise isolation is pretty good. I can hear others very well. Two of my colleagues want this.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Older model

Good enough Good enough

I find the mic is not very loud, most people can hear me but the mic is not the best. The sound is fantastic and the headset sits well and firmly on the head.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Update available

completely summarized - Accessories

What failed. I just received this item, I will say that the headset is clear, but when you speak into the microphone, the other party can hear you, and that without the engine running.

Pros
  • Satisfied
Cons
  • silent

Highly recommended for track work and observers.

Works great. Use it on 2 different off-road tracks in northern Wisconsin to drown out the noise of 900hp trucks hurtling at high speeds. The sound quality is perfect.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Great for accessories

Some reviews were critical but mine worked great. I work at a race track. The volume control on the earcup is a little tight, but the volume and noise-cancelling is very good. None of the others have hearing problems.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • boring packaging

Pretty good set, best in Headsets & Mics category

First turn the radio to maximum, then turn the volume on the headset. Slightly better mic noise reduction is needed, but I use it in an oil field between fracturing pumps. The ear pads could be softer as mine seem very hard. Otherwise I think it's a very good set. Replacement cable for repairing radios of different brands.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Repair

Dissatisfied and disappointed

I would give 5 stars if I would buy the headset. Since I bought it because of the microphone function, I would give 0 stars. The microphone has no gain control. Audio input is -40dB compared to other lower quality headsets. Thought it might be a 5 pin cable, no.

Pros
  • CB and radio equipment
Cons
  • little things

Very low microphone output volume.

The microphone volume is very low, even if the microphone strains the lips. The person listening to you has to turn their volume up to the maximum and then another person in the group with a good product will blow them up with a normally working microphone. The microphone in my helmet has a normal volume, why is it so quiet? I bought 2 of these, both low volume mics.

Pros
  • Headphones and microphones
Cons
  • write later
