I chose this printer mainly for its small footprint and portability at home, not just for travel. I am very happy with the work and the print quality. I don't have a particular need for fast printing or large print runs, so this is fine for my needs. I've scanned photos, printed and scanned pages of text, tested photo printing and been very happy with the results. I love that it has a battery. So if I need to use it anywhere, I don't have to carry a cord around. The standby battery life is fantastic. I can't say anything about longevity under heavy use. If you only want to leave it in one place, choose another model for the price. If battery, compactness and small size mean a lot to you, then yes, it's worth it.
