As mentioned earlier (why wasn't I listening?) a metal bar is going to hit your back. There's no padding at all on the front, and even if you throw a folded blanket over your back, that metal bar will still reach you. If you put a bed pillow in front of her, you won't feel it, but you won't be sitting on the pillow anymore (it's not very deep). I'm only 5'4" tall, have long legs and a short torso that still presses on my shoulder blades. The location of the clamp depends on your height, but you WILL be clamped. Two stars (I guess?) because the padding feels very strong and the fabric is of good quality and durable, but unfortunately it's all for naught.
