Revainrating 5 out of 5

Affordable robot security camera.

Overview of the MAYSLY Smart PTZ IP Camera. This is a robotic security camera with motion detection that you can view in real-time from your phone or other device and record to the "cloud” and a small SD card inside the camera body. The performance was satisfactory considering this item is only $45 plus shipping. It detects motion and tracks the movement of objects until the object stops for about 10 seconds or moves out of range of the camera. It will then return to where you previously aimed the camera. To set it up, you need to download the application (both Android and IOS) by simply scanning the QR code on the box. The app guides you through the Wi-Fi connection process and was relatively easy for me. (Other people found this difficult.) Once connected, you can control the audio and video sensitivity in the settings. You can send notifications to your phone when the camera detects noise or movement. You can view live video and control the direction of the camera, as well as zoom in and out from your device. Insects flying past the camera.) For the avoidance of doubt, you don't have these controls on the recorded video that appears on playback. Subscription packages are offered, ranging from $70 to $200 per year ($6 to $16 per month) depending on the storage and features you want. Or you can skip the packets and rely on 6 second alert clips. generated when something is detected. I recommend getting the package. I don't think you can connect it to your laptop or home computer. As far as mounting and positioning the camera, all you have to do is make sure you are within range of your wifi and power the camera. 7ft power cord with USB connector that plugs into a standard two prong plug/adapter which then needs to be plugged into a 115v outlet (or in my case an extension cord). in Europe with the camera I received. For me, that was the most difficult step, if only because of the logistics. No fun crawling around in my attic! In general very satisfied. We start with the cheapest cloud storage package. It's possible to add another camera (up to five I think) and we may do that in the future. I will update here if there are any problems or questions. It hangs right there for the weather, so we'll see.
