Stored Photos and Music

I bought a Mac for writing in 2011 and it has become my all-in-one computer. He wrote music, kept thousands of photos and wrote 4 novels. One day my toddler got mad at me and poured a glass of pineapple juice all over him. Goodbye computers. I've already broken the keyboard on it and Red Bull has spilled before, so several factors led to its downfall. However, thanks to this handy device, I was able to salvage all the files I needed from a pineapple Mac by pulling out the hard drive and using it as a read-only drive on my new all-in-one, which is a little more spill-resistant . Usage is very simple. Just remove the hard drive and then insert it into this device. You plug it into a USB drive and the new computer reads it as a read-only drive. Just copy the files you need and you're done. Copying the 32GB iPhoto library took about 15 minutes and the rest of the files were created with no problems. Considering the simplicity and price of this item, its value is simply tremendous. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to recover files from a compatible hard drive installed on an old or non-working computer.

Pros
  • Wide Compatibility - 2.5 inch housing supports Windows 2000/Windows 98/XP/Vista/7/8/10, Lunix, Mac OS 9.1/10.8.4 and above. No need to install hard drive, plug and play. Perfect for booting old hard drives/SSDs and recovering important files from a broken PC.
Cons
  • Big and chunky
