I have windows almost to the floor but not quite. I bought this to put in front of a window for my two cats to lie on and look out. My female had her claws removed and I wasn't sure if she would like it but loves it. I put it over the vent (which is under the window) and it keeps it warm for her. My other dog has claws and scrapes like crazy and then plays with a ball. Unfortunately she is too big to fit through the holes, but she smashes her playstick through when I place the stick next to the hole on the opposite side. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with cats. I would have a hard time believing they wouldn't like it. Again big enough for a big cat to stretch out.
