My professional opinion as a seamstress

I'm a seamstress and I iron A LOT. I bought this iron to use for my home business as a cheaper option to a gravity iron. Here are my first thoughts: Benefits. It's big and quite heavy (significantly heavier than the average Black and Decker iron), which I think is a plus. If you iron all day like me, you need something heavier to protect both your ironing board and your wrists. I like the water capacity, it takes about 400ml to reach the max line. However, it would be nice if the filling bowl was bigger as it has to be filled twice. However, I am not deducting a star, the filling tray is always ridiculously small with every iron. I like that the iron's ability to steam is independent of the temperature setting. You can switch the automatic steam on or off from light to strong steam without changing the temperature. There is also a steam boost button. Most other irons only have automatic steam when the temperature is above a certain level, which can be a hassle if you don't really want to use the steam function. They have excellent heat distribution. No burning clothes from hot spots à cons A larger filling cup would be nice. There is no way to turn off the beep that sounds when it auto shuts off. It even beeps when the iron turns on and off while ironing. If you don't like microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers that beep like I do, consider this. They don't slide as easily as a steel-coated iron. I think the reason for this is the coating on the outer plate. That doesn't mean it doesn't slip at all; In this respect I would give 3 out of 5 points. Unless you press hard while ironing (which you don't really need to do because it's pretty heavy on your own) you won't notice. All in all a great iron that does what it is supposed to do. need and easy to use. The features make everyday use a breeze, and the downsides are very minor annoyances. I would recommend this iron to anyone who doesn't want to spend more than 150 euros on a decent gravity iron. I will update this review if anything changes. UPDATE The iron still works. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.
