Review on Transcend 128GB JetFlash Flash TS128GJF760 by Stanislaw Rogulski ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Think carefully before buying this product.

This flash drive is just disgusting, and believe me, I know what I'm talking about. They gave it to me for free for work, but it would be better if I didn’t see it. Data keeps disappearing from it! You can turn it off a little, you have to reformat and use it on a new one. Copied 45GB of small files for about 10 hours. Then I clicked properties to check the size. I waited 10 minutes, could not stand it, pressed cancel. Knowing the capricious nature of the flash drive, I clicked on a safe shutdown, got a message that the volume could not be stopped, and then 3 (! ) Error messages writing to the disk. The flash drive was pulled out, inserted - it is not determined. I inserted it into another computer - all 45GB are gone, it asks for a format. In general, do not take, only spoil your nerves. : The toad strangled to throw out the flash drive, removed the case from it and performed the following manipulations through the command line (cmd. Exe): C:\Windows\system32>diskpart DISKPART> list disk Disk 2 Online 58GB 0B DISKPART> select disk 2 Disk 2 is now the selected disk. DISKPART> clean DiskPart succeeded in cleaning the disk. DISKPART> create partition primary DiskPart succeeded in creating the specified partition. DISKPART> active DiskPart marked the current partition as active. DISKPART> select partition 1 Partition 1 is now the selected partition. DISKPART> format fs ntfs 100 percent completed DiskPart successfully formatted the volume. The flash drive began to be instantly detected, the errors "this device can work faster" stopped popping up when connected to 3.0. I tried to write down several files and pull them out in the process - the files are in place. If everything continues to be ok, I will change the rating to 4. 2: Still 4. I have been using it for more than a month, no complaints, not a single failure. 3: The flash drive died once again, the data was barely saved. I do not recommend.

Pros
  • Sometimes it works. Good speed on USB 3.0.
Cons
  • Incredibly capricious, lost data.
