Pins stuck and cables won't hold

Used for Xbox controllers and worked about 2 months before the micro USB connector pins got stuck in the connector and now the cable no longer works with the Xbox controller remains connected. It has only been unplugged about a dozen times and, according to the product description, should survive "more than 10,000 plugging and unplugging operations".
