This monitor is built to last which is a good thing as the condition the box arrived in was terrible. In the moments of unboxing, I wasn't even sure it was worth moving on. The packaging was opened and badly sealed on the outside, the box itself has eaten at least two hard corners. The film on the monitor itself showed strange ripples and two distinct pits. But then I dealt with it, gathered all the details and put them together. The stand is made of metal and is durable. It's easy to assemble, and the VESA mount stand part is a dual clamp that's durable and won't give out when you pull. The tongue should make it easier to switch to VESA in the future. The monitor itself is very bright, the colors are even, no dead pixels are visible (and I looked). It contained all the necessary tools and cables. So far no problems with any settings. Freesync is enabled and works well, unlike my previous experience with competing VA models. I was pleasantly surprised that it uses 10-bit color, which I don't remember being advertised. Out of the box first impressions are fantastic and I look forward to playing it in the future. Future.
