My daughter is 9yo and is the average height for a 9yo. She wears a size 12/14. She is not slim, but is not really chunky either. She’s just built thick. I purchased the size 12, and I would say it fit pretty well. My main complaint is that there is ZERO stretch to this dress, which makes it a tad uncomfortable in the arms and it makes it hard for her to get on and off without some help. The neckline seems a little off, or something about it just seems. off, but it’s not too bad. Overall, I think this is a very pretty dress and am happy with the purchase. I just wish it were made with different material.
