My daughter is 9yo and is the average height for a 9yo. She wears a size 12/14. She is not slim, but is not really chunky either. She’s just built thick. I purchased the size 12, and I would say it fit pretty well. My main complaint is that there is ZERO stretch to this dress, which makes it a tad uncomfortable in the arms and it makes it hard for her to get on and off without some help. Washed cold and hung to dry, the fabric looked dull and dingy after the first wash and got worse after the second wash. My daughter loves the style and pockets so she continues to wear it. She says it is very comfortable, however given the quality I wouldn’t recommend.

My granddaughter is very skinny so I did put darts down two places in the back to pull in the waist for her. However, the material in the dress was good, I washed it in cold water and hung to dry and it has held up well. She loves that it has pockets and is longer (she wears a size 12 but is tall so it came to about the top of her shoes). I'm actually thinking about buying her another color of the same dress.

Based on the other reviews, no one else had this problem but instead of coming 3/4 inch sleeved, it came short sleeved. We didn't return because everything else was great and she needed the dress, and my daughter loved it, but she ended up having to wear a jacket with it. This dress is adorable and my 6 year old loves it. It fits perfectly, the material is not see through at all and it looks so cute. My issue is I washed it twice (she wore it once so far but I was before she wears then washed it after) and it’s already fading and pilling. I can’t see this dress lasting many more washes before it looks ragged and old. For the quality of this dress, it should be cheaper for a child’s dress.

My 7 yr old lives this dress! The elastic is a little looser than I expected but my l/o is athletic and thin, a cute belt would work too. The pockets are a win and so are the 3/4 sleeves. Not too thick but not thin! Worth every penny!

I liked the color and the style but the sizing was hard to fit my 9 year old. One size was a little too small and the next size up was very big.

Bought as a gift for my niece she us a petite 11 year old and it fit pretty well. A little big in the waist, but overall looked quite nice. And of course she loved the pockets!

This dress is very pretty and comfortable! However my daughter is on the slim side and this dress is made to stretch. She has to wear a belt with it to cover up the access.

It looks very nice and is comfortable to wear. Appreciated the pockets too. The length is perfect and did not require any changing. We liked the fabric. It washed in the washing machine nicely.
