Bought this item to help tidy my husband's desk (the end of my dining table) which tends to get into messy, unsightly piles. I like the size and organization options. The product arrived the next day after ordering. It was in a box in a shipping carton. Due to the nature of the packaging, the parts can rub during transport, causing the paint to peel off in some places. This does not affect functionality, but not very aesthetically, especially in a new thing. The instructions were easy to follow, but putting everything together wasn't easy. The connectors provided with the kit do not hold the filing shelves securely. As another person commented, save yourself some frustration by buying nuts and bolts for him. I used zip ties to secure all the pieces and cut off the tail after slipping the plug tip underneath. It works well and appears to be holding up securely. Now I'm hoping the gremlins will come tonight when I go to bed to make this mess so I don't have to.
