I removed them halfway through the install. CHEAP!

I asked questions here that nobody could answer. I have a large sport bike GSX S1000. I asked another user who posted a photo of his broken one how and why it happened and no answer. After a few weeks of inactivity I pulled the trigger and realized what the heck it was, it was only $40. When these poles arrived they had the main pole as one of the handles and the handle in the middle where the main pole was supposed to be. The bars seemed cheap, flimsy and easy to break. I searched the internet for another week hoping to find stronger metal bars as the "staples" seemed strong enough but not 3 bars. Eventually I gave up and decided to just give it a try. I removed my current steering wheel and started installing it. Unfortunately, the pivot mounts on the main bar just didn't fully tighten. It looks like the permission for their processing was too big. In addition to not being able to fully tighten the main rod, the bracket itself could not be tightened either. I mean, I really screwed up these things, and no matter how hard I tried, once I turned the knobs all the way, this handlebar just gave up at almost every point of failure. I gave up before I even put the left side on, realizing with the painful realization that these things were just cheap, poorly made, and not worth my life. I think one positive point is before I buy a $100+ one-piece molded/custom cut handlebars. Now I can use them as a kind of $40 "mold" to try out different configurations and see what shapes I can use without hitting the plastic? DO NOT!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Hard to say
