I bought 5 sets of these lamps to decorate my church for the holidays. We used them on the stage behind the worship group that was hung on the farm that was already there. I found them very easy to put together, durable and let in enough light to get the desired effect. The stars are made of thick, transparent plastic and I think if I used them in a display closer to what people see visually, it could come out a little cheaper. But from a distance they look great. We found the remote control to be practically unusable. We had a hell of a time with the lights just staying on and then we really couldn't figure out how to know if the timer was working or not so after a few days I just had to test it to see if it worked worked . times switched off. They never had. Also, the remote control is useless if you don't plug it in a place you can easily access, as it needs to have a clear line of sight to the plug where the small sensor is located. We hung it high in the air so the fork was nowhere to be seen. Finally, I totally agree with others that the lights came in an awful mess. Luckily we were a group so everyone grabbed a strand and did a little meditation before we started. Of course I will tie them differently after the season for storage. All in all a good product for the price, definitely!
