I use this as a second step (after wringing out the 50 micron filter) to purify the well water for the whole house. Installation was easy, just use enough teflon tape to wrap the hardware for a snug fit. No problems with leaks in 3 weeks. The games above are great for showing you how much pressure drop you'll get in high stress (like a shower or bath faucet). My third filter is 5 microns and I get about a 10psi pressure drop as the water exits the unit. The clear housing on the first try is great as it allows you to see and get an idea of the condition of your filters and when they need to be replaced. I give 4 stars because the sensors (all 3) are leaking. They simply screw into the case, but the case threads are slightly larger than the caliber threads. It comes with silicone thread sealant, but that's not enough. If you screw a gauge into your thigh it will stop flowing but you will no longer get a gauge reading. They should be left about 1 turn before fully seated to allow water to enter the gauge and register the pressure. To solve this problem I had to unscrew each caliber and wrap A LOT of teflon tape around the threads. About 15-18 turns. I'm no pro, but that seems overkill. Just an idea for my setup: I mounted the unit to the wall using 3/4" PEX and a steel clamp. After this device I have an Aquios salt-free water conditioner (5 micron mesh) and then a UV sterilizer. I got about 15 gpm from the bathroom faucet.
