I used it to build an individual charging station for devices. It works great and has thoughtful wiring options during installation. The socket itself is fairly rigid and requires little force to plug in. It can loosen up over time. USB-C easily charges the iPad Pro and provides enough power to slowly charge a laptop when it doesn't need a lot of power.
