I *really* love Folkmanis dolls! I was thrilled to find their little finger puppets at an education conference this summer. I bought all the finger puppets I could find that matched the "Beanie Reading Strategies for Kids" to use in teaching reading strategies in my PreK class. I was able to use them in a kindergarten summer school and they really helped some reluctant readers get started. This little man is our jumping frog, he skips unfamiliar words and returns to them. Eagle Eye is my absolute favorite, incredibly soft and charming! (Eagle Eye can't read yet, he's looking at pictures looking for clues) I couldn't find all the critters in Folkmanis so I bought some finger puppets from The Puppet Company (also on Amazon). Folkmani seemed better quality to me, but they are a bit more expensive. If they prove strong enough to handle preschool needs I'll be a very happy buyer. I really hope they last at this price point - if not I'll update my review in the future.
