I have used almost every eyelash curler in existence. This one wins, hands down. It never ceases to amaze me that this gadget never makes it onto any of the "Best Eyelash Curler” lists because it absolutely is. The open sides prevent the outer and inner lashes from getting caught in the side arms like other curlers and make this eyelash curler stand out. from the rest. Additionally, the lack of side arms allows the lashes to curl into a wider fan shape than curlers with side arms. While the needle slipped out of my first pair a few months ago, it was an easy fix and hasn't happened since. I read many reviews that they broke. I have never had this problem and have owned this curling iron for over three years. The method that works best for me is this: before applying mascara, hold an open curling iron at a 90° angle (perpendicular to face, elbows up and forward), look down and squeeze the top of the Eyelids as close to the base of the eyelashes as possible. Then look up and lower the curlers (parallel to the face, elbows down and towards the floor). Look down again and press the curlers against the base of your lashes. Hold for about 10 seconds, then slide the curlers up over the lashes, moving the curlers backwards at an angle of 90° and above, pinching the lashes along the way like an inverted Pac-Man.
