As with all wallpaper, it's either easy or difficult or almost impossible. Simple things you can just spray on, for complex things this tool will shine. It pays off in a room if it's the right type of paper. It has little impact on the impossible. I have a room with "satin" ready-made wallpaper. It couldn't be sprayed easily because the paper coating beaded water. Even after I wiped it with a sponge, the paper would not come off. Lightly roll this tool over the entire surface of the wall. Move in circles making sure the water gets behind the paper, onto the glue and backing. However, my second room had a much thicker, almost vinyl finish. Even with a TON of passes, the spray has little effect on softening the adhesive enough for a good peel. They end up with three-inch chunks and lots of swearing. It's not necessarily the instrument's fault, but many people buy it for rooms like this, but be aware it won't always be a godsend.
