All about the assembly: Cases

I put my iPod in the case through trial and error. First the disguise. At first I was concerned that trying to slide my shiny new iPod over the curved edges of the bezel would scratch the iPod. I originally tried to fit the iPod into the case by inserting one of the long sides first, but it was too difficult. I was finally able to fit the iPod into the front of the case by inserting the top edge of the iPod first. If you look at the front of the case, you'll see that one of the long sides has a gap for the volume buttons, while the shorter side tab is closer to the top of the iPod. I think that made it easier to put the iPod in as it's tilted one corner at a time to the top. Then he snapped immediately. It clicked so hard and so fast I thought it would be difficult to get the iPod out again; but it comes out easily from the trim by holding and twisting the top and bottom edges of the trim. Second, the substrate. Attaching the pad was easy. The only problem I had was that by inserting the bottom edge first, the power button on the case didn't line up with the power button on the iPod. So I took the iPod out again and put the top edge in first and then the buttons lined up properly. I like the clear coating on the front because it protects the iPod's touchscreen without affecting its use in any way. I can't comment on how durable the case is because I won't be dropping my iPod to check it out! But I've had similarly designed phone cases (which is why I chose this case) that I've dropped on concrete a few times and my phone has escaped unscathed. I cut off the little rubber stops at the bottom because I don't want to fiddle with them every time I charge my iPod or use my headphones, but I love how well they fit. the case is assembled, i really like this case. I think it's well designed and very safe.
