They were packaged in a non-resealable heavy plastic bag but the bag clip (originally used on a bag of potato chips) worked well. The "crystals" are bright and let in a lot of light, making them excellent for use in sun catchers, lamps, etc. Irregular shapes require some shaking to ensure they're really tightly packed into the lamp's base, but that's to be expected with irregular-shaped items. There is a good combination of colors with no color (or transparent) dominating. A small negative is that they are a bit heavier than expected; I had to resort to tubes/fillers/etc. in the middle of containers to reduce the weight (you need to worry about the shipping cost). However, I plan to buy more of these when they start going out.
