Very thin and breathable fabric. It's extremely easy to take on and off. I wish there were tighter cuffs on the arms and legs though. It would keep the sleeves and pant legs from riding up.Daughter is 16 months old, 23lbs. Photos were also taken with a summer dress worn underneath
