Review on 📱 PINHEN Bands Strap: Premium Silicone Replacement for Xiaomi Mi Band 3/4/5 by Ben Hamilton

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Hard cheap plastic, the best in wearable technology

Update: August 16th, 2020, 6 months later... my band started to tear. I don't think I'm making it difficult at all. In fact, I haven't really been able to go to the gym or be active since the start of the pandemic, so the bracelet practically broke when I took it off my wrist and put it on to charge every few days. Yes…. I won't buy this again. First post: The first thing that struck me was how tough the plastic was (compared to many other straps I've used). It totally reminds me of those cheap straps you find on kids watches that can sell for $3-4. But I figured I wouldn't care since I mainly use it during workouts and as long as I can fall asleep with it on I'd give it a thumbs up. What I noticed is that the plastic used is flimsy. As can be seen in my attached photo, the area highlighted in green is not very strong so it cannot hold the device in place and when you bend your wrist it pushes the Mi Band 5 upwards and finally you see, as the hardware protrudes about 1-2mm as shown in the picture. If you wear the bracelet loose this won't happen, but for me loose = inaccurate numbers. Among all the straps I bought with different versions of Mi Band, from the original to 5, this strap was the most disappointing. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because it looked beautiful. If I could turn back time I would tell myself not to buy it to get my recommendation.
