Difficult to judge from the photo, but the toe is rather narrow. Maybe it doesn't get wider with size, but these shoes are very spikey. Not only is it ugly, it's also too tight. Now I know how women feel! Otherwise the quality of the shoe is very good but just not the best option for a classic penny loafer style. I returned it.
