I have hundreds of 35mm slides and about 110 slides (square film) that I want to review and/or discard. I started using it today but there is no light. Put in fresh AA batteries, but no cubes. When I took out the batteries I noticed that the polarity was reversed. Be careful to see exactly where the positive electrodes and the negative electrodes go. I reinstalled and everything worked! I felt like an idiot talking to a Revain engineer. Didn't even know this feature was available. Tip: If you are ordering an electronic item, please note the "Get product support” notice on the order form. Contrary to some other negative reviews, the slides are easy to insert and easy to remove. Sometimes standing on the bottom tray instead of lying down. never mind This is a great slideshow viewer you have. You don't have to use 4K UHD for this.
