I used to represent a fairly large hair care brand and over time I learned what ingredients do what in the product. For the squeamish, there is an ingredient that some people may also be allergic to, although it's pretty low down the list and it's called diazolidinyl urea. It is formaldehyde, although it is widely used in cosmetics as an antimicrobial agent. If it bothers you, then it's not for you, but I agree to living dangerously. I like a lot of OGX shampoos but this one tends to moisturize where you don't need it i.e. closer to your scalp and doesn't moisturize where you need it i.e. the ends of your hair. I suspect any porosity in your hair will not hold it and wash it out. I have fairly fine hair and prefer to keep the roots of my hair fairly clean to the point of squeaking to give the roots some lift, which I don't get. It smells nice, of course, but that's about all I like. I would say if you have fairly healthy medium length straight hair it might be worth trying.
