I bought two of these and they work very well. I wanted my laptops to get more air when sitting on my desktop, of course it does. It also allows me to place multiple connected devices underneath - an external hard drive, USB hub, etc. In the box it comes in three pieces and they snap together easily (no tools required) and hold together very well. surprised how well everything stays in place. The rubber grips on the base grip the desk firmly, while the grips on the top also hold the laptop securely in place and protect it from metal scratches. It holds up so well that I can literally push on the side of the laptop (with my legs up) and the laptop and stand stay in place while it starts spinning me around in my moderate office swivel chair. A little, but it stays in place. (The laptop starts to slide over the armrests before the base moves to the table, but both stay where they are very well — much better than I'd expect from this type of laptop stand.) There are handy cutouts on the stand, too. the back of the legs that you can run small cables through - USB cables, most laptop power cords, audio cables, etc. I don't use them though as my laptop doesn't have ports on the back. But it's good design. These are sturdy, well designed and well made laptop stands. I highly recommend them.
