Size 5-6 is perfect for my tall and slim 5 year old. The whole point was to get some fun sweaters to wear to school before Christmas, but they ended up being his favorite sweaters of all time, maybe because they were so soft. We have ordered these twice. These sweaters keep their shape and have been washed and dried several times without any special treatment. Catch them when they're on sale, maybe after Christmas (next) - $9-15.
