Some work some don't

I bought this set in May. I immediately used the large 2 for rice and was very satisfied. I left the smallest one unused for a while, then put my GF flour in. After one use, the top slid off like it wasn't attached. There is no suction, no "hermetic" seal - to the point where my GF flour is ruined now. I tried calling Oxo to discuss it and the woman seemed to imply it was working the way it was supposed to. But then why are my two large containers working properly? I've always been a fan of Oxo, but it looks like I'll have to look for another brand to store my groceries in the future.
