When I first looked at the differences between the Ruko F11Gim drone and this newer Ruko F11Gim2 drone I didn't see anything that would interest me to buy . But I decided to try and see for myself. At first glance they are very similar. I immediately noticed that the controller and batteries now have USB-C connectors, which is a welcome change. Examining the controller further, I also noticed improvements in the user interface. First, when you turn it on, it shows the battery level of the controller so you know how much power it has left. Also, after switching it on, I noticed a new display with distance, altitude and speed, which really impressed me. Setting up the drone was the easiest and quickest I've ever set up. It took no more than five minutes from the box to the flight. I left it on beginner mode to get started until I was sure I got the hang of it. As soon as I reached the target altitude of 20m, the console beeped and a voice told me that the maximum altitude had been reached. I took several photos and videos to check the quality. One thing this drone is great for is real estate agents who want to get aerial photos and video for real estate listings. This is also a great way to check roofs for damage. I flew it for about ten minutes and got about 50m to the max altitude and then I hit the return button and the drone came back over me and then the voice on the controller told me it was going to descend. I wasn't very impressed with the landing as it landed only 3ft from its home/takeoff position. Then I went into the settings, got it out of beginner mode and set the altitude to 120m and the distance to 300m. Then I lifted it to 100m and flew it for about 250m. Then I shot a video from that altitude and Distance. Overall, the video quality was pretty good. I could clearly see things miles away from me. I then pressed the "Return Home" button and the drone returned to the top position of the landing point and again the voice on the controller told me it was about to land. I could see the landing on the control panel as he reads the altitude. I could also see that the range indicator read exactly zero meters and when it landed it landed no more than 3 or 4 inches from where it took off. It was really impressive. I then flew it a few more times at random heights and distances, and each time it returned home it was only a few inches from where it took off, making it as reliable a drone as it could be. The overall build and construction of the controller and drone feels very solid and sturdy. It felt very comfortable in my hands and didn't look cheap. Overall I would say this is a top notch drone with many of the advanced features you would expect from a device at this price point.
