I've bought this cable twice. I originally bought this to replace my original Cloud x Alpha headphone cable. The original cable lasted five years. Each of them lasted about a month and a half for me. You just stop working. In both cases, I can hear my friends speaking but they can't hear me, but the microphone isn't the problem. I know the cable is the problem because when I play a chord the connection reappears intermittently. I don't know if there are many viable cable replacement alternatives for my particular headset, but I won't buy another one from them
