They are excellent for soft desserts such as custard, jelly etc. However I have made separate sundaes in them and it has not been successful. They break when trying to eat because the plastic isn't flexible at all. So the moment you need to take something harder out of the cup and put force on the wall of the cup, the walls will break. Many times. So there's a lot to recycle. As well as safety when preparing desserts for young children, for whom broken cups with sharp edges pose a potential hazard. At this $0.40 per cup price, I would expect them to do a little better.
