The Fodoss Baby Cot is an easy to assemble and durable sleeping place for your baby. The bassinet is robust, surprisingly easy to assemble and very easy to adjust in height and angle. This carrycot took less than five minutes to install and no special tools were required to install it. Most of the mount was pre-assembled and there were very few parts to snap into place. All parts click very securely with thumb latches and I love that there is a small plastic tab that covers most of these latches. . The plastic parts don't interfere and don't press on the thumb latch when it's engaged, but it makes the metal button much easier to press when disassembling - you definitely won't pinch your thumb when pressing the button! There was only one bar that didn't have a thumb guard over the metal button (middle support bar), but it wasn't too bad getting it in or out. Once assembled everything feels solid and the height is adjustable so you can either adjust it to match the height of your bed or raise it higher so you don't have to lean so far if you're just using it as a bassinet. I particularly liked how easy it was to adjust the height - just press the spirit level and adjust the height up or down as needed. You can also adjust the two sides to different heights to allow for a slight tilt. This is especially helpful if your child has acid reflux. Converting the carrycot into a side sleeper is also very easy - just open the mesh, slide the plastic tab over the bar and lift the bar. All mechanisms of this bassinet are very intuitive to use and everything can be installed and disassembled very easily. The unit also comes with long nylon straps to attach it to the mattress to keep the cradle in place. The strap is long enough to go through the bottom of the mattress and is held in place with two large plastic washers, so you don't have to wrap the webbing all the way around the mattress. It attaches securely to the tote with clip fasteners, allowing you to remove it to move the tote as needed. The bottom is large enough to occasionally store blankets, diapers and other small items, and the set also includes a small bag that can be hung on the side of the bottle or nappy cradle. The bassinet comes with a sheet to start with, but I would definitely recommend buying more sheets to have on hand in case the sheet gets dirty or wet. Overall, this is a well-made bassinet that's easy to install, durable, and makes a great gift for any new parent.
