I've been using the 8 inch Schaefer model for 10 years, they still work perfectly. 12 inch fans move four times more air [cfm = cubic feet per minute] and I needed more moving air in my greenhouse [40 feet x 12 feet]. 3 of the 12" move a lot more air. In moderate weather I use smaller fans. Ideal. Both sizes mount at ceiling [roof] level and are exceptionally quiet; They can also be rotated to blow in any direction. Warning: As I bought the smaller fans over a decade ago, they were plugged in. The 12" fans come with a separate plug so a professional can plug them right into your home • shop • greenhouse • pantry if you prefer. If If you can't connect the 3 pin connector, have a knowledgeable person read the instructions on the fan and proceed.These are exceptionally good fans and obviously need to be connected correctly.Installation is as simple as drilling a pilot hole and the use of a heavy duty hex bolt I use stainless steel I expect these fans to last ten years in my wet greenhouse e or longer, and I'm sure they will.
