NOT COMPATIBLE WITH HARD CASE

I really liked the idea of this product. It's ALMOST perfect. I often drop things, so when I got my new MacBook I knew I needed a hard case for it. I have a hard case and got this adapter for USB and other inputs. Because it's attached to a computer, it won't work with a case. At first I removed the bottom when I wanted to use it, but it became quite a hassle and unnecessary. I sent it back for the one that connects with a single cable, which I don't really like but at least allows me to put the case on and protect my MacBook.
