I'm using it with a Microsoft Surface Book 2 with a separate battery display/tablet which makes the entire car top/rear heavy so far back the whole set tips over. To keep the unit stable, I had to tilt the hex screw all the way and tighten it to the maximum (effectively locking the tilt adjustment). The top panel should have an additional set or two of positioning holes (see image as a possible suggestion) or some sort of y-axis indexing that allows the user to slide the panel forward (and bring the OPEN laptop's center of gravity closer to it the vertical z-axis) otherwise the workmanship is first class and complements the surface very well. Before you ask - the height adjustment requires two hands but is comfortable and uniquely lockable; Rotation around the vertical axis is entirely satisfactory/solid.
