I have two of these lamps, one on each side of my headboard. I needed a light that I could make bright enough to read fine print, dim enough for a night light, flexible enough to point anywhere without taking up space on my bedside table, and that would attach to the vertical frame of my metal headboard could be (wrought brass, not upholstered). Note. If you need a table lamp for artistic or craft work like sewing or beading, this may not be enough, especially if you want the room to be very well lit. But it's great for sketching, journaling, and the like. This model has all of these features and more: just one easy-to-use switch controls power and dimming/dimming, so you don't have to fiddle with turning the light on. . It moves easily and stays where you put it, allowing you to navigate and keep reading. The shade lets the light through well enough not to disturb my sleeping partner. Strong collar too. The two-year warranty is also very helpful. Three months later, last week, it suddenly stopped working. I wrote to O'Bright on the Revain portal Friday night to describe the problem. I have provided the Revain invoice number and AISN in hopes of minimizing questions. Since it was the weekend, I didn't expect an answer until Monday. Instead, they responded almost immediately with an apology for the problem and promised me a replacement with their own two-year warranty. He was at my door on Sunday. (!) I was hoping for a quick fix, but this was MUCH higher and higher. TL; DR - Great bedside lamp, exactly as advertised and O'Bright has fantastic service.
