Review on Efficient Installation and Removal of Camshaft Bearings with Performance Tool W89220 Universal Tool by Andrew Young

I would like to start by saying the tool worked well when I used it to remove the bearings as the bearing removal tool gave it about 3 stars and subtracted 2 stars for poor handling ranging from flatbread to almost impossible to remove unless you tighten it enough to form a lip for the bearing. However, I would never rate this product higher than 1 star as a bearing installation tool. It is simply poorly designed and made from the lowest quality Chinese metal. Both the internal expander (like most other reviews say) and the first bearing I tried to install were completely destroyed. The expanders slipped into the bearing during installation and eviscerated the bearing even though the tool was tightened to the maximum. one set of bearings provided the tool survives the first attempt at installation.
