I was skeptical at first and was very worried my baby might choke on it but we didn't notice any problems. I still only give them to her under supervision but she loves her straws! I will put her in the freezer/fridge when she is teething. They also REALLY helped us when we first started introducing mashed potatoes. She didn't eat until we used her instead of spoons. So I would also recommend these if your little one is having trouble adjusting to food. The only thing I wish is that they come with a little pouch to keep them together. It was definitely my fault, but it's just the two of us now. We can't find the rest. If it's for MIA, we have no problem finding another purchase.
