Our dog has trouble chewing other dog food. At the moment this is the only dog food he can eat due to its special shape intended for Shih Tzu underbite/underbite. My dog has an overbite. Now he is 10 years old. We've fed him other dog foods before, but he seems to like this one better. So if you do the math - he ate this dog food about 95% of his life - they also have a puppy version of this food.
