I took this camping with me the other day and tested it out. There were no batteries in it, and I didn't charge it with solar at all. I cranked it for a few min, and everything worked well. Good reception, the light was decent. I did accidently hit the "panic" button once.It's not in a great spot, right under the light buttons. On 3-4 mins of cranking the device, I plugged my phone into it to charge. Phone was at 2% when I did this. It charged up to 37% before the radio charge was gone. It took only a few minutes to charge the phone. It came in handy, as I accidently had forgotten my normal LED lights. I'd recommend adding it to your basic emergency gear. Definitely could help in a worst-case scenario.
