Yes, there is always a but. First, they are as comfortable on my feet as any other shoe I have ever had. Actually more convenient. They're so comfortable I wear them everywhere (not to bed of course, that would be silly). But. If you're thinking of going off-road with them, be careful. They slip and the problem is that they can slip off. Do not get me wrong. I will buy another pair or new ones when the time comes. But they don't replace laces with ankle support. They should never have done that.
