We use this potty when we are out. This works great because the other seat has an insert that goes in the toilet and the thought of touching something that was in a public restroom makes me vomit so this works great because you wipe the lid of the toilet can. Wipe the toilet seat with an antibacterial cloth and then put the seat on, the suction cups actually stick better when they are slightly damp. And then to remove it you can either just rip it off OR what I think works better is pushing it. There is a small plastic plate on the bottom that holds the suction cups in place. If you pull too hard this plate will stick to the toilet and then you have to pry it off with your fingernail and then put it back on the potty seat. It's just a lot of work if you can easily take it off. It also folds up to fit in my daughter's small backpack. I definitely recommend it!
